About Roadtrip Denmark
What this site is
Roadtrip Denmark is the logistics layer of destinationlore.com. If destinationlore tells you why to visit and what to experience, roadtripdenmark tells you how to get there: which superchargers actually work, which ferry crossing makes sense for your route, what camping is legally allowed, and how to avoid surprise toll charges.
Who writes it
Bo Nexø — Danish systems developer, Tesla driver, regular roadtripper. Every route, charging station and ferry recommendation on this site comes from someone who has personally taken it.
What you'll find here
- Charging: Supercharger map, EV-friendly cafés, range-anxiety guide.
- Ferries: Storebælt, Rødby-Puttgarden, Helsingør-Helsingborg — when each makes sense.
- Tolls: Where they apply, how to pay, what they actually cost.
- Routes: Multi-day itineraries that work in practice.
- Camping: Where free wild camping is legal in Denmark (spoiler: very few places).
- Tips: Speed cameras, fuel pricing, parking apps, things you only learn by doing.
What this site is NOT
- Not a destination guide — for "why Denmark?", see destinationlore.com/denmark.
- Not a hotel review site.
- Not paid promotion — every recommendation is something I'd use myself.
